Personalized Ceremonies
My name is Dave and it is my privilege to conduct funeral, celebration-of-life and memorial services. When it comes to a ceremony as important as a funeral, you only have one opportunity. Together, we will work out the best fit for your loved one and your family on the day. Words, music, photos and the power of ritual can all have a part to play. Ritual can either draw on religious elements or not depending on what you need and what will bring the most appropriate mood and “feel”. I will be guided by you on this but am open to all cultures and beliefs. Together, we can create something truly memorable and special. My role is flexible on the day itself and can be "light touch"/Master-of-Ceremonies or fully involved and speaking most of the time. Families that I have worked with have been kind enough to say that I can hold a room without dominating it and can bring thought, structure and calm to a new existence struggling with its recent, upsetting change.
My training was with Humanists UK and I am more than happy to incorporate religious elements into ceremonies. The funeral ceremony is built around your wishes. The most important thing is that together we find the right way to say “Goodbye” and honour your loved one.
Apart from my Google presence, I do not have a social media profile. I am not sure that this is the most appropriate vehicle through which to promote funerals so I have decided it's not for me.
